Obituary

Alto – Funeral Services for Trubie Lea Moake, 83, of Grapeland will be Friday December 22nd at 2pm at the O.T. Allen & Son funeral home chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8pm also at the funeral home. Mrs. Moake died Monday the 18th in Grapeland. She was born March 16th, 1934 in Grapeland Texas to Hosey and Adele Johnson Lucas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and son Mike Strickland. Trubie touched so many lives. She loved so hard and always let the person know that. She enjoyed gardening not only for its beauty but also to feed her family and friends. She had a green thumb and a heart as big as Texas. She loved her country, all music and dancing for many years. If she could leave a message for her family and friends, it would be "God is in control, He loves us all and we should love each other".

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Pierce of Grapeland Texas; sister Ethel Tims of Grapeland Texas; Grandchildren Camille and Charlie Robinson, and Molly and Michael Darby; and 4 great grandchildren.
