A private graveside service for Tommie Louis Mason, 78, of San Augustine, Texas will be held this week at the Davis Cemetery in Grapeland. Mr. Mason passed away Tuesday, April 7, in San Augustine. He was born November 9, 1941 in Goose Creek, Texas to Claude Mason and Eula Lois Story Mason. Mr. Mason had lived in San Augustine for 2 years after moving from Athens where he had lived for 20 years. He had lived in cities all over Texas and worked various trades throughout his life, including being a writer, musician, photographer, wood worker and working at NASA. Mr. Mason is survived by wife Donna Mason of San Augustine, son Jeffrey Mason (Paula) of Sacramento, Ca., daughters Pam Winfield (Steve) of San Augustine and Deidre Pool (Clay) of Athens, brothers Michael Mason (Cindy) of Athens and Philip Mason (Claudia) of Houston, sister Harriet Harper (Donnie) of Grapeland, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
