Remembering the Life of Thirza Monette Powell.

November 16, 1963 -March 24, 2023

Thirza, 59, of Colorado, passed away peacefully Friday March 24th, 2023, in Cushing, Texas at her daughter, Stephanie Holy's, home surrounded by her four children. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She spent the majority of her life in Colorado exploring the mountain trails; enjoying the great outdoors which she loved. A loving, calm, independent, and caring mother; she always tried to do the best at everything she did. She worked for the Rocky Mountain SDA Conference for 10 years, enjoyed hiking, photography, and hunting for treasures to resell online, as well as experimenting with vegan recipes. A woman filled with wisdom, compassion, understanding, and steadfast love; she made such an impression on everyone she met and will be deeply missed.

Thirza is preceded in death by her parents; Roland and Donna Powell. She is survived by her siblings Gregory and Brett Powell (brothers), Erin Horn (sister), and sister-in-laws Ivy Powell and Carolyn Belle; her four children Stephanie Holy and her husband Jason Holy, Nathanael Maple and his wife Sylvia Maple, Matthew Maple, and Sarah Maple; and her six grandchildren Cameron, Landon, Cullen, and Sutton Reece and Callista and Alora Maple; as well as a host of extended family members.

Visitation for Thirza Monette Powell will begin at 11am Monday March 27th, 2023, followed by the funeral service at 2pm at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing, Texas. Interment to follow at McKnight Cemetery.
