Services for Theron Miller Stewart, Jr., 79, of San Antonio, Texas will be 12:00 pm Saturday May 14, 2022 at Apostolic Lighthouse in Nacogdoches with Bro. Brent Crosswhite officiating. Visitation will from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday just prior to the service. Theron Miller Stewart, Jr. passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in San Antoino, Texas. Theron Miller Stewart, Jr., also known as "Butch" and "STU", 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, surrounded by loved ones at his daughter's home in San Antonio, TX. Mr. Stewart was born on July 21, 1942, in Dallas, TX to Theron and Christine Stewart. He grew up on a farm in Ravia, Oklahoma, hunting with his grandfather, training with ROTC, and driving stock cars in Princeton, TX. In 1960 he married Shirley Gilbert and raised 3 children while working abroad as a teacher and engineer in the telecommunications industry. In 1978, he married Cynthia Cryer of Zavalla, Texas. They established two homesteads, raised various livestock, and were active in the community. He is survived by 3 siblings, sister Charmayne Dickhaut of Nacogdoches, TX, brother Rusty Eaton of Pittsburgh, TX, and sister Joan Flores of Bonham, TX. He is also survived by his four children, Tray Stewart of Durant, OK, Tina Orr of San Antonio, TX, Ty Stewart, and Jefferson Stewart of Cushing, TX. He has 10 grandchildren, Summer Dentler, Autumn Kaylen, Cheyenne Stewart, Shannon Bennet, Brandon Goodwin, Tiffany Goodwin, "Little Ty" Stewart, Tanya Stewart, Lincoln Stewart, Elijah Stewart, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia Stewart, ex-wife Shirley Walston, brother Dusty Eaton, sister Addie Grace Baker, and sister Sharon McCutcheon. He was beloved by his family and all who came to know him.
