Graveside services for Teddy Jo Scogin, 73, of Henderson, Texas will be 1:00 pm Saturday at New Salem Cemetery in New Salem, Texas. Teddy Jo Scogin passed away March 9, 2021 at her home in New Salem. Teddy Jo was born September 2, 1947 to Theodore Abraham and Juliet Nellie Klause in Dallas, Texas. She was a quiet woman that kept to herself. She loved her family and especially spending time with her grandson, Shad. A long time resident of Henderson, she was a member of the Blackjack Baptist Church. She worked for the Rusk County Clerks office where she served as a secretary. When she retired, she spend her free time sitting with the elderly and tending to her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Dean Scogin, her parents, son, Danny Joe Scogin, sister Fondra Preston, father-in-law J.E. Scogin, mother-in-law Ruby Scogin, and brother-in-law Tony Preston. She is survived by her grandson Shad of Joaquin, TX, daughter-in-law Marcie Reece and her husband RD of Joaquin, TX, and sister-in-law Nancy Beckham and husband Murray of Cushing.

Pastor Glenn Hohmann will be officiating.
