On March 1, 2023, Tammy "Red" Fern Cook of Alto, Texas, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. She was born on July 20, 1960 in Marshall, Texas, to Mickey and Fern Satterwhite, and she will be missed by many. She was a loving, caring soul who could only see the good in others. She enjoyed arts and crafts, including painting, and in her later years, she loved filling her time working at the Chaparral Center, volunteering at the local food bank, and playing online games. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her husband of 32 years, James 'Jimmy' Cook, and her daughter, Jamie Whitworth (partners Jesse and Bonnie Tamburino, and son, Ryker); sisters, Janice Escalante (husband Pablo), Sandra Espinoza, and Lisa Satterwhite Coleman; sister-in-law, Donna Cook; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she cared for very deeply.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Allen Funeral Services in Alto, TX on 3:00pm."
