Alto – Funeral services for Silver Lynn Thomas, 74, of Alto will be Saturday, March 10th, at 11am at the Simpson Chapel Church in Ratcliff with Pastor Lionel Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery near Alto. A visitation is scheduled Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home in Alto.

Silver Thomas was born to proud Parents of Mr. Bennie Lee and Lois who preceded her in death. After finishing high school at Booker T. Washington, she Married Alvin Thomas and moved to California. She moved back to Alto and worked at the nursing home in Rusk for 28 years where she retired. She was a member of Simpson Chapel Baptist Church where she was famous for her potato salad. She leaves to cherish her memory: Mrs. Annie Franklin(Mark) of Rosharon, Texas; Annie Ruth Watson; who preceded her in death; 5 Nieces and a host of family and friends. She is also survived by Special Friends Mary F. Whitaker(Billy) and Family, Bridget Ross, and JoNell Mitchell
