Funeral services for Sharon Kay Steahle, 64, of Pearland and formerly of Alto were held Saturday November 2nd, 2019 at 11am at the O.T. Allen & Son chapel. Burial followed at Old Palestine Cemetery. Mrs. Steahle died October 25th, 2019 in Pearland, Texas. She was born September 19th, 1955 in Corsicana, Texas to Harold and LaVonne McCommas Rice. She lived in Houston for 44 years. She was a Girl Scout volunteer and lead trainer for 25 years. She sat on the Assisthers Board of Directors. She previously worked at the Arthritis Foundation, Baylor Medical, Texas Childrens Hospital, the Lunar and Planetary Institute and retired from Rice University. She is survived by her Partner Katherine Joyce McPhie of Houston, Texas; daughters Christy Michelle Steahle of Houston, Texas and Dana Nicole Schendel of Pearland, Texas; Son-in-law William Richard Schendel of Pearland, Texas; brothers David Brian McCommas of Lincoln, California, Keith Amos McCommas of Winona, Texas; Sister Donna Marie Watson of Rusk, Texas; Grandchildren Lily Elise Schendel, Madilyn Rose Schendel both of Pearland, Texas.
