Alto – Graveside funeral services for Shane Yvette Taylor, 47, of Alto will be Saturday, July 18, at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery in Alto, Texas. There will be an open visitation at the funeral home in Alto from 9 AM until 5 PM on Friday before the service. Shane passed away Wednesday, July 15th, in Jacksonville. She was born June 29, 1973 in Lufkin, Texas to Paul Taylor and Annie Pope Taylor. She had lived in Nacogdoches for several years and in Alto for the last 10 years where she attended the Weeping Mary Baptist Church. Shane had worked for Stephen F. Austin State University and loved fishing and growing hot peppers. She was preceded in death by father, Paul Taylor, granddaughter Kirsten Swindle and grandmother Essie B. Thacker. She is survived by husband Chad Pope of Alto, sons and daughter-in-law Tray Reagan (Kara) of Alto and Fredrick Thacker of Alto, daughter Shakosha Thacker of Alto, mother Annie Taylor of Nacogdoches, brothers and sisters-in-law Lacartis Pope (Heather) of Nacogdoches and Anthony Taylor (Sandra) of Timpson and sisters Myra Sanders of Dallas and Regina Polk of Nacogdoches.
