Funeral Services for Sandra Jayne Richey, 78, of Reklaw, will be 11:00 am Monday, June 20, 2022 at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing, Texas. There will be a visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the funeral service. Committal services will be at New Salem Cemetery in Henderson, Texas. Sandra Jayne Richey passed away in Tyler, Texas on June 15, 2022 with her family by her side. Sandra Jayne was born January 25, 1944 to John Summers and Marie Tilotta Summers in Houston, Texas. She attended Holy Name in Houston until the 8th grade and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School. Sandra Jayne married Allen Richey, Sr. on April 9, 1967. They moved to Reklaw where she lived for over twenty-three years. Sandra was considered an "angel." She expressed her love for others with the care and effort she placed into cooking for family and friends alike. Sandra could literally cook it all. She also had a great sense of humor. Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family and loved ones. She was a strong woman that courageously battled cancer. Sandra will be missed by all those that loved and knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Richey, Sr., her parents, and her infant twin brother Gerald Summers. Sandra is survived by her son Allen Richey, Jr. of Houston, daughters Tracie Hunter, husband Lamelle and their son Jared Hunter of Houston, and Patricia Martinez of Reklaw. She is also surived by a brother Alan Summers and his wife Donna of Houston, sisters Charlotte Boswell of Houston, Johnnie-Mae Allen of Houston, sister-in-law Theresa Richey, stepdaughters Joyce Flores and Brenda Cerda; and, step granddaughters Angelica, Valeria, Cecilia, Cassandra, Galdina, and Maricela.
Pallbearers will be Jared Hunter, Lamelle Hunter, Michael Rozell, Charles Westerman, Michael Watkins, and Tim Millstid.
