Rylan Lee Pope, born to Caliyah Lane and Johnathon Pope, passed away on June 24, 2023. Graveside service will be held at St. Thomas Cemetery Friday, June 30, 2023, at 9:00am, with Pastor Vertis Thacker officiating. Rylan was born in Lufkin on March 7, 2023. He brought joy and happiness to all. Rylan is survived by his mother Caliyah Lane, father Johnathon Pope, grandparents Pamela Jenkins, Donathon Lane, Sr., Cheryll Pope and Dexter Pope, siblings Jordyn, Jessa, Keelan, Kylan, Westlyn, Wehlyn, and Raylyn, aunts Keiundrea Lane, Dontasiah Lane, and Chanice Pope, uncles Donathan Lane, Jr., Dontrevian Lane, Jaylon Jenkins, and Tavoreion Lane, cousins Jailee and Karter Taylor, Paris, Jaycee'ana, Jaiyana and Kaylen Lane, and Harlem Barnes, and many great aunts, uncles and relatives.

Quite as a whisper, you

silently slipped away.

We thought you were only

Napping to energize for the day.

But you were sleeping more deeply

than anyone can wake.

And now we spend our days missing

you and crying for your sake.

For such a sudden loss, there's

just no way to prepare.

It's  going to take a very long time

to accept that you're not there
