Funeral services for Ruby Nell Chamberlain, 88, of Reklaw will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2021. Ruby Nell Chamberlain passed away April 18, 2021 in Jacksonville, Texas. She was born August 15, 1932 to Brachfield and Lottie Knight in Reklaw, Texas. Ruby was married to her late husband, Vandel, for fifty-five years. Along with him, she dedicated her life to her family, especially her children. An accomplished cook, there was nothing she could not tackle in the kitchen. She showed her love by what she made in the many recipes she mastered. She was young at heart. She looked forward to taking those summer trips with her husband in their motor home as they shared an interest in America's landscape and history. She was a member of the quilting club and Reklaw First Baptist Church. She was also a loyal Texas Rangers fan! She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vandel Rayford, and her son, Bryan Chamberlain, and daughter, Carolyn Rogers; and, sister Juanita Chamberlain.  She is survived by daughters, Cytrina and husband Lou Bowen, Patricia Boss, Rhonda and husband John Taylor, Gay and husband John Hudnall, and Jana Chamberlain; sons Harold and wife Deborah Chamberlain, and, Eric and wife Alicia Chamberlain; and, sister Sondra and Norman Ivy. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Amy, April, Mandy, Stacey, Christopher, Michelle, Sean, Tracey, Bryan, Michael, Melissa, Mellanie, Julianna, Chas, Colten, Sarah, and Zachary. She had forty-two great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Her loss will truly be felt.
