Alto – Funeral services for Ouida Frances Murphy, 84, of Houston and formerly of Alto, will be Friday, May 24th, at 2 PM at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home.  Ms. Murphy passed away Saturday, May 18th in Baytown. She was born December 31, 1934 in Weches, Texas to Coy Lovelady and  Ruth Pyle Lovelady. Ouida lived many years of her life in Alto and had worked as a store manager of J.J.'s mini mart. She was a Mother, Grandmother and friend to many. Ouida was preceded in death by her parents, sister Billie Ruth Lovelady, and niece Darlene Postma. Ouida is survived by son Ronnie Murphy (Melissa) of Alvin, son Marshall Murphy (Sheri) of Baytown, special nieces Gloria Lackey and Diane Antones, grandchildren Courtney Hickey (William), Tori Murphy, Andrew Jake Murphy, Charly Murphy, Jessie McConathy (Billy Joe), Logan Wise (Stevie), Lindsey Smith, Laney Smith, Ransom Smith, and eleven great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home in Alto.
