Novis  Lee Miller White, 87, of Sacul, Texas, passed away on April 29, 2023.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on May 1st  at the Sacul Cemetery  with the Ed Williamson officiating.   A Memorial celebration of the life of Novis will be held at the Sacul Opry on Saturday, May 13th, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Novis was  born in Sacul to E. C.Miller, and Juanita Button Miller on September 4, 1936. She  went to school at Sacul.  She  worked as a Nursing Home Administrator for 30 years, and was also the owner and operator of the Sacul Opry. She served the community of Sacul her entire life, and was very dedicated to the community where she was born and raised. Novis tirelessly volunteered as church secretary, President of the volunteer fire department,Board of Director for the Sacul Cemetary, and was on the Sacul Water board. She faithfully made her appearance weekly at the Sacul Quilting club.

Novis is preceded in death by her husband, James Knox White.

Novis is survived by her children, Robert Paul Brooks, and wife Diane, Randy Warren Brooks, and wife Karla, and Joe Bob Brooks, and wife, Dollie.  Grandchildren: Jeremy Brooks, Alicia Brooks, Joseph Barry "Buck" Brooks, Leslie Lankford, Joe Bob Brooks, Jr. And Lacey Nicole Sanchez, and  10 great grand children. Brother, Dewey Miller, and wife Sarah, and a host of close friends that she called "her family".

Memorials may be given to the Sacul Community Center.
