He is survived by his wife, Diane Jacobs and their three children, Jeanne Jacobs Moss and her husband, Caleb; Andrew Jacobs and his wife, McClain; and Michelle Jacobs. Michael was born on December 20, 1947 in Jacksonville, TX as the only child to the late Clyde and Imogene Jacobs. He was an only child, but grew up amongst many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Although he lived in several East Texas cities, he called New Diana, TX his hometown. He graduated from New Diana High School in 1966, lettering in football and track. In his twenties he followed his calling as a missionary serving in the Agape Force Ministries. After losing his father as a teenager, he spent many years caring for his mother until the day she passed. Michael did not marry and have children until later in life. He married Diane Jacobs in Richardson, TX on July 30, 1994. Michael and Diane had three children. Having a family was his ultimate treasure. Michael loved being involved in his children''s lives. He attended all their sporting events, was active for many years in Indian Guides and Indian Princess, and was a continual encourager to each of them. They lived in Plano, TX for several years and then moved to Richardson. Michael and his family attended Trinity Bible Church where he served as a deacon. Michael was a loving son, husband, father, cousin, nephew, friend, and member of the body of Christ. Michael loved to fish, cook, and fix things around the house. He enjoyed woodworking and building projects, especially with his son, Andrew. He was a devoted believer and follower of his Lord, Jesus Christ, in whom he gave his trust and life. He had a great sense of humor, always loved to tell stories, and he cared most about relationships and people. He had a quiet, humble spirit that was thoughtful and loving, and a great hope in the Lord that we can share as we mourn and remember him.
