Funeral services for Mary Lee Nichols, 86, of Irving and formerly of Nacogdoches County will be Wednesday January 9th, 2019 at 2pm at the Dickie Allen funeral home chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at McKnight Cemetery. Mrs. Nichols died Friday January 4th, 2018 in Carrollton, Texas. She was born July 21st, 1932 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Sol and Gladys Hines Vardeman. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Hall Nichols, sisters Ollie Pigg, and Lillian Delas Hutto, and brothers James R. Vardeman, and Don Vardeman. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gene and Elizabeth Nichols of Irving, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law Shirley and Tom Rogers of Lubbok, Texas and Barbara and Greg Iffland of Irving, Texas; brother Bill Vardeman of Lufkin, Texas, grandchildren Jessica (Heath) Brown, Eric (Becky) Nichols, Matt (Morgan) Nichols, Hannah (Chase) Eyre, Mackenzie (Harrison) Iffland, great grandchildren Owen, Ethan, Nolan, Cordelia, Emma Kate, and Mae; and numerous nieces and nephews.
