Graveside funeral services for Mary Kate Lout West, 99, of Alto will be 7 PM Friday at the West Family Cemetery near Alto with Chaplin Timothy Roberts officiating. Visitation will be at the Cold Springs Methodist Church at 5PM Friday. Mary Kate passed away Monday, July 6, in Wells. She was born May 20, 1921 in Alto to Martin VanBuren Lout and Minnie Olivia Felder Lout. She lived all her life in Alto and had worked as a beautician for 40 years. Mary Kate was a longtime member of the Cold Springs Methodist Church and loved singing, sewing and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Louie Rayford West, sisters Gene Lout Comer and Mildred Lout Roark and great grandson Joshua Ausmus. Mary Kate is survived by daughters and son-in-laws Sharon and Travis Smith of Alto and Kathy and William Wilton of Alto, brother and sister-in-law James Buren "Bud" Lout of Pollok, grandchildren Angie Williams, Sally Davis, Jana Nelson, Dean Crosby II and Jennifer Cabello, great grandchildren Amiee Wilks, Jenna Landry, Olivia Xeller, Dallas Willis, Clint Flewellen, Kade Prince, Brittany Menchaca, Weston Cabello and Mia Crosby, and great great grandchildren Trevor, Lylah, Sammie, Dylan, Karsun, Halle-Kay, Kendall, Casen, Ashlyn, Tatum, Jensen, Joshua and Logan.
