Graveside funeral services for Mary Ellen Logan, 87, of Alto will be Sunday at 2 PM in the Alto City Cemetery with Rev. Paul Gates officiating. Mary passed away Friday, June 12, in Jacksonville. She was born November 25, 1932 in Madisonville, Texas to Fred Lawson and Laura King Lawson. Mary lived most of her life in Alto and was a longtime member of the Alto Assembly of God Church. She had worked for 30 years at Rogers Grocery and Alto Food Store and loved yardwork and helping people in need. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas Logan, daughter Marilyn Logan, sister, Jo Moore and brothers Willard Lawson, Hubert Johnson and Dimmie Johnson. Mary is survived by son Steve Logan of Alto, sister Lois Henley of Cleveland, grandsons Tony Goodman (Tina) and Jimmy Goodman, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. No visitation is scheduled.
