Funeral services for Marty Jo Nichols, 88, of Cushing will be Friday February 1stat 11am at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Nick Tidwell officiating. Interment will follow at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing. Visitation will be Thursday January 31stfrom 5-7pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nichols died Tuesday January 29thin Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born September 22nd, 1930 in Sacul, Texas to James Eldridge and Mattie Virginia Murchison King. Mrs. Nichols was a lifetime resident of the Cushing area and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 36 years, serving as Post Master of Sacul for the last 22 years. She was a member of the McKnight Congregational Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was involved in her families lives and sports activities.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby Joe Nichols and brother Tom Jack King. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Reta Nichols, Terry and Marianne Nichols; daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Ronnie Tidwell all of Cushing, Texas; sister-in-law Betty May Nichols; grandchildren Kristie Rasmussen, Tisha Herndon, Brian Nichols, Nicholas Tidwell, Michelle Oliver, and Justin Nichols; great grandchildren Kristene, Kaden, Keaton, Hunter, Hudson, Hayden, Carmen, Noah, Aiden, Carson, Ansley, Knox, Carter, and Corbin. Pallbearers will be Brian Nichols, Justin Nichols, James Ham, Tommy King, Dickie Gresham, and Hunter Herndon. Honorary pallbearer Billy King
