Graveside funeral services for Martha Redd Durham Creel, 87, of Alto will be held Sunday at 2 PM at the Pollok Cemetery near Wells, Texas. A visitation will precede the service from 1-2 PM also at the cemetery. Mrs. Creel passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 in Wells, Texas. She was born August 26, 1933 in Lufkin, Texas to Joseph Clayton Redd and Adelle Munson Redd. Martha lived in Alto for many years and was a member of the Pollok Baptist Church. She had worked as a cashier for Brookshires and enjoyed sewing, quilting and raising her children. She was preceded in death by husband W.E. "Buddy" Creel, sons Jimmy Creel, James Creel and infant son Clayton Creel, and brother J.B. Redd. Martha is survived by daughter Betty Jackson of Jacksonville, sons and daughters-in-law George & Sharon Creel of Overton, Robert Creel of Rusk and Charles & Rachel Creel of Palestine, brother James Mack Redd of Friendswood, sister Bertha Ann Johnson of Lufkin, 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be George Creel, Robert Creel, Charlie Creel, Jeremy Creel, J.C. Creel, Jon Redd and Jason Redd. Honorary pallbearer will be Austin Creel.
