Graveside services for Marjorie Marie Christopher, 95, will be 11:00 am Friday, December 10, 2021 at Walker's Chapel Cemetery in Reklaw, Texas. Marie passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in Rockwall, Texas. Marie was born May 29, 1926 in Reklaw, Texas to Robert Martin and Edith Irwin. Marie was an independent-minded woman and knew how to stand up for herself. She was a world traveler taking ships to all of her favorite destinations from Europe to Hawaii, Alaska to Canada. Marie's compassionate side led her to join and become a team leader for the Widowed Person's Society in Rowlett, Texas. She was also proud member of the Red Hat's Society. Marie worked for Sugarland Industries as the paymaster. She also served as the city secretary for Reklaw. One of her last jobs she became a receptionist for Chandler's Landing Yacht Club. Marie was a family oriented person who enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends. Her presence will be missed by all those that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Chris" Miller, and brother Robert I. Martin. Marie is survived by her daughter Donna (and husband Bob) Baker of Rockwall, Texas, brother Kenneth Martin of Reklaw, Texas, and sister Faye (and husband Derrel) Baker of Frisco, Texas. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory grandchildren Robert "Rob" Baker, Jr., and Donna "Deb" Evans, and great grandchildren Jack Christopher Evans and Carly Grace Evans.
