Marian E. Hudson O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home- Alto, Texas- (936)858-4111 Alto -Funeral services for Marian E. Hudson, 84, of Alto will be Monday, March 28th, at 3 PM at the First Baptist Church in Alto with Rev. Gary Pridmore officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Lufkin. Mrs Hudson died Saturday in Alto. She was born October 24th, 1931 in Nacogdoches County to Frank Edwards and Edna Meador Edwards. Mrs. Hudson lived in Alto for the last 41 years and had also lived in Houston and Diboll. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alto and was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She graduated from Diboll High School and attended Stephen F. Austin University. Marian worked for the Alto ISD for many years and the last few years as the Superintendent's secretary. She was preceded in death by husbands James E. Trevathan and Cecil W. Hudson, brother Johnny Edwards, sister, Lois Sturrock and her parents. Surviviors include; sons and daughter-in-laws Jim Trevathan (Renee) of Humble and Bill Hudson (Fay) of Alto, daughter and son-in-law Jan Rotenberry (Richard) of Houston, brother Nathan Edwards (Frankie) of Huntington as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandson-in-laws James Trevathan III, Peniel Lim, Wayne Hubbard, Daniel Hannon, Trey Crosby, and Josh Hudson. Honorary pallbearers are friends Thomas Aber and Nicholas Gavlick. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Alto and Monday from 1 PM till service time at the First Baptist Church.
