Obituary

Graveside services for Lucille Goodman Bell, 96, of Mabank and formerly of Alto and Rusk will be Saturday at 11 AM at the Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto with Bro. Buster Woodell officiating. There will be a visitation Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Alto. Lucille passed away Tuesday, August 6, in Mabank. She was born October 29, 1922 in Cherokee County to Sanford Edwards and Lula Evans Edwards. Lucille lived most of her life in Cherokee County and was a homemaker. She had attended church at the Assembly of God and loved quilting and fishing. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Simmons Goodman, children Billy Wayne Goodman, Donia Inez Martin, Jimmy Carroll Goodman, Patricia Ann Bolton, Linda Kay Dake, Richard Glen Goodman and Claude "Junior" Goodman. She is survived by son James Robert Goodman and wife Dessie of Rusk and daughter Lois Marie Newby of Mabank, sister Clara Fay Singletary of Granbury as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
