Nacogdoches – A family memorial service for Louis V. Hancock, 81, of Nacogdoches and formerly of Paragould, Arkansas, is pending. Mr. Hancock died February 4th, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born January 28, 1937 in Houston, Texas to Harvey Hancock and Eva Lee Pillow Hancock. Mr. Hancock lived for 25 years in Paragould and for the last 13 years in Nacogdoches. He was a U.S. Marine and served in Korea and was also a member of the American Legion. He was retired from Emerson Electric Co. in Paragould. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and a brother. Mr. Hancock is survived by daughter Tammy Phillips of Jonesboro, Arkansas, sister Ople Elzada Gill of Nacogdoches, brother Wayne Hancock of Houston, grandchildren Christopher Specking and Crystal Moody as well as many nieces and nephews.
