Funeral services for Lloyd Wesley Plummer, 86, of Elkhart will be held Saturday, November 18, at 1 PM, at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Chapel in Alto with Walter Kern officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery near Alto. Mr. Plummer passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 in Elkhart, Texas. He was born July 8, 1937 in Midway, Texas to Jesse Lloyd Plummer and Gladys Fay Williams Plummer. Lloyd has lived in Elkhart for the last 34 years and was an outdoorsman that loved fishing, hunting and gardening. He had worked many jobs including welding and maintenance work at Lufkin Industries, Lufkin Foundry and Vernon Calhoun meat packing plant. Mr. Plummer was a Christian. Lloyd was preceded in death by daughter Darlene Womack, son Ricky Plummer, sisters Nina Hinds, Fayeann Boney and Barbara Alice Whitmire and brother Johnny Free. He is survived by wife Ethelda Plummer of Elkhart, daughters Kathy O'Hara and Sandy Kay Steele, sons Larry Plummer, Zane Brett Baugh and Lester Ray Plummer, sister Dora Jean Kern, brother Floyd Plummer and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. There will be a visitation Saturday before the funeral starting at 11 AM at the funeral home.
