Obituary

Lera Jewel Driggers passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Lera was born December 4, 1928 to Ed Jurgens and Lavenia Smith in Alice, Texas. She was entombed at Houston National Cemetery next to her husband Wilburn Driggers (Seaman First Class, USN) in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, and only child David Driggers, who flew helicopters for the U.N. and was very well respected by his commanding officers. Mr. and Mrs. Driggers were fortunate enough to have many years together after retirement. They often traveled in an R.V. together. She is survived by many loving friends.
