Cushing- Graveside services for Larry Bryant Hooper, 65, of Cushing will be Friday May 12th at 11am at Redland Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home in Cushing. Mr. Hooper died Monday in Lilbert. He was born November 11th, 1951 in Plainview, Texas to William Edward and Una Pearline Parish Hooper. He was a Baptist and loved hunting and fishing. He was assistant fire chief for Lilbert/Looneyville VFD. He is preceded in death by his parents and several beloved brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife Kay Hooper of Cushing, Texas; Daughters and Son-in-law Megan Hooper of Cushing, Texas, and Jamie and Aron Flores of Nacogdoches, Texas; Brothers Don Hooper, Paul Hooper, Fred Hooper, Bency Hooper; Sisters Phyllis Powdrill, Patsy Newman, Katherine Davis, and Becky Goodwin; Grandchildren Kylee, Hailey, Matthew, Cadee, and Mia; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Dennis Channel, Mark Ivy, Bill Wallace, Jeff Davis, Steve White, and Bobby Brashears. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Petty, Jim Gimble, David Terry, and Bobby Wallace. The family encourages those who wish to make memorial contributions to send them to the Nacogdoches County Sherrifs Department, Nacogdoches County Fire and Rescue, and the Lilbert VFD.
