Memorial services for Kenny Callaway, 68, of Alto, will be Sunday, February 23, at the Alto Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Bob Lindsey officiating. Kenny passed away Thursday, February 20th, in Alto. He was born November 5, 1951 in Harlingen, Texas to Buck Callaway and Mary French Callaway. Kenny lived most of his life in Alto and had worked for 40 years for Ned Thompson's Cattle Company. Kenny was also a mechanic and had done steer roping in rodeo's as well as teaching roping and breaking horses. He was preceded in death by his father and sister Carolyn Callaway Collins. He is survived by wife Robin Callaway of Alto, mother Mary Allen of Houston, son Shane Callaway (Tina) of Alto, daughter Holly Grimes of Alto, brother Jimmy Allen of Alto, sister Vicki Lawson of Needville and grandchildren Devan, Micah, Hunter, Molly, Colton, Christopher, Justin, Peyton and Branton.
