Cushing- Funeral services for Kenneth D. Rains, 79, of Nacogdoches and formerly of Houston will be Saturday October 5th at 2pm at New Life Church in Sacul. Visitation will be Friday October 4th from 6-8pm at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Rains, sister Linda Rains, and brother-in-law Marty Schelsteder. Mr. Rains was born July 14th, 1940 in Houston, Texas to John Burtis and Cornelia Ruth Cooper Rains. He passed away October 1st, 2019 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He lived in Houston until 1985 when he moved to Nacogdoches. Mr. Rains was a Marine, an Elder of New Faith Church, a member of Bikers for Jesus, a member of the Patriot Guard, the VFW, and the Marine Corps League Detachment. He is survived by his wife Anita Faye Rains of Nacogdoches, Texas, sons and daughters-in-law Tony Rains (Ann Marie) of Houston, Texas, Tracy Rains (Alice) of Ocala, Florida; daughter and son-in-law Teresa (Mark) Nation of Burleson, Texas; brother and sister-in-law Morris (Pat) Rains of Tomball, Texas; sister Carol Schelsteder of Tomball, Texas; and 7 grandchildren.
