Funeral services for Judy Faye Varner, 65, of Douglass and formerly of Alto and Palestine will be Monday, January 10th, at 1:00 PM at the Rusk Seventh Day Adventist Church. There will be a time of visitation from 12 noon until service time. Judy passed away, Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in Nacogdoches. She was born September 11, 1958 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Edgar Gibbins and Fannie Mae Tyler Gibbins. Judy grew up in Alto and had attended Alto Public Schools before living in Palestine for many years. Judy had worked in food service for many years and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Rusk. She was preceded in death by husband Russell Varner, brother Charles Gibbins as well as her parents. Judy is survived by daughter Angel Hudson (Johnny), brother James Gibbins, grandsons Jake Smith and Leelnd Smith, sister-in-law Melody Lopez and several cousins. She will be buried at Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto.
