Funeral services for Joyce Ferguson Lovell, 73, of Alto will be Monday, August 23, at 10AM in the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Odis Bryan officiating. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Joyce passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 19 in Alto. She was born March 29, 1948 in Alto, Texas to George Acey Ferguson and Alma Bentley Ferguson. Joyce lived most of her life in Alto and was a non-denominational Christian. She had worked for many years as a caretaker in home health as well as private caretaking. She loved her family, sewing, growing flowers and her cat Honey. Joyce was preceded in death by daughter Shaney Colgrove, her parents, grandson Colter Tyra, great granddaughter A'Nyia Tyra, brothers George, Jimmy, William and Burlyn Ferguson and daughter-in-law Sherry Tyra. She is survived by sons Tony Tyra and wife Lisa and Terry Tyra, daughter Teresa Ferguson and husband Oranthony, son-in-law Tommy Colgrove, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
