Obituary

Joshua Scott Spurger, 38, of Frankston and formerly of Alto, went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2022. A memorial service for Josh will be held Monday, July 25, at 1PM at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Alto with Rev. Ron Rose officiating. There will be a private family visitation time between 12 PM and 1PM on Monday. Josh was born August 20,1983 in Jacksonville to Darin Scott Spurger and Alice Jeter Spurger. He lived most of his life in Alto and was a graduate of Alto High School where he was a gifted drummer in the Mean Sting Marching Band. Josh's love for drumming continued into his adult life as he was playing just a few short weeks ago. After high school, he studied at the Art Institute of Houston, and spent most of his adult life working as a scheduling manager for a security company in Houston. He was a Christian and was preceded in death by his mother Alice Jeter Spurger and grandparents Cynthia and Richard Little, Johnny Spurger, and Ann and Jackie Jeter. He is survived by his father Darin Scott Spurger of Frankston, sisters Mandy Singletary and husband Jeffery of Cypress and LeAnna Lloyd and husband Jay Williams of Cypress, brothers John Spurger and wife Katie of Tyler and Jordon Spurger and wife Logan of Flint as well as a number of Nieces, a Nephew, Cousins and other relatives.
