Obituary

Johnnie Wade Williamson, 64, passed away on June 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Houston on December 15, 1961, to Johnnie Autrey and Wadene (Turner) Williamson.

Johnnie graduated from Cushing High School in 1980 and went on to train at Universal Technical Institute. He built a career as a diesel mechanic, known for his strong work ethic and pride in doing things well. After 25 years with International Trucks of Houston, he returned to East Texas in 2016 and retired from Lonestar Trucks in 2024.

Johnnie treasured his wife of 38 years, Rosalyn (Kridler) Williamson, his daughters, Rebecca Bebelaar and Caroline Sharp, and his granddaughter, Ophelia Bebelaar, whom he lovingly called “Little O.” Family meant everything to him, and he especially enjoyed cooking for gatherings, whether grilling at neighborhood block parties or making a big pot of chili for family get-togethers.

His faithful dog, JD, was his constant companion, and the two enjoyed duck hunting together.

Johnnie is survived by his wife, Rosalyn (Kridler) Williamson; his daughters, Rebecca Bebelaar (Max) of Hutto, Texas, and Caroline Sharp (Jacob) of Euless, Texas; his granddaughter, Ophelia Bebelaar; his sisters, LaMona Rankin (Alton) of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Donna Flanagan (David) of Nacogdoches, Texas; and numerous nephews and one niece.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents Johnnie Autrey and Wadene Williamson.

Special thanks to Hospice of East Texas. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of East Texas, Tyler, Texas.
