Funeral services for Johnnie Townley, 95, of Forney and formerly of Alto, will be Thursday August 16th at 1 pm at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home in Alto with her grandson, Rev. Michael Geddie officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Townley died August 11th in Forney, Texas. She was born January 8th, 1923 in Emhouse, Texas to Edgar E Allen and Addie O. Stewart Allen. Mrs. Townley had lived in Dallas for many years and Alto for about 23 years. She moved back to the Dallas area in 2003 after her husband, of 60 years, passed away, to be near her children. Johnnie was a homemaker and was a member of the Old Palestine Baptist Church. She was an excellent seamstress and cook and was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Townley, son Cecil A. Townley and her parents. She is survived by daughters Karen Kent (Norris) of Forney and Janet Geddie (Dennis) of Mesquite, grandchildren Jeff Townley (Dyane), Jamie Repesh (Chris), Michael Geddie (Heather), Kristen Bradley (Spencer) and Justin Townley (Karrie), great grandchildren Andrew, Gunnar, Timothy, Ethan, Jonathan, Sophie, Caroline, Holly, Ivy, Beau, Baileigh and Ace, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Michael Geddie, Gunnar Geddie, Ken Townley, Kyle Townley, Jeff Townley and Spenser Bradley.
