Graveside services for John David Hedger, 71, of Alto will be Monday, June 7, at 10 AM in the Hendrick Cemetery near Alto with Rev. Jim Goforth officiating. There will be a visitation Sunday evening at the funeral home in Alto from 6-8 pm. Mr. Hedger passed away Saturday, June 5, at his home in Alto. He was born May 25, 1950, in Eldorado, Illinois to David R. Hedger and Jane McKee Hedger. John had lived in Alto for 31 years. He was retired from the plumbing business and was a member of the Campground Baptist Church. John loved hunting, fishing and bowling. He once bowled a 297 and  won a bowling tournament in the Dallas area. John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Richard Hedger. He is survived by wife Joan Hedger of Alto, sons and daughters-in-law David Hedger (Shawna) of Neches, Chad Hedger (Anya) of Pittsburg and Brent Hedger (Kellie) of Weatherford, daughters and son-in-law Jaynee Crosby (Larry Jr.) of Beale AFB, California and Teresa Hedger of Hawaii, brother and sister-in-law Lawrence Hedger (Patty) of Eldorado, Illinois, sister and brother-in-law Margaret Collins (Gene) of DeSoto, Illinois, mother-in-law Nell Schochler Hamilton and grandchildren Daniel Hedger, Nathan Hedger Anika Hedger, Noah Hedger, Chloe Hedger, Alyssa Crosby, Emma Hedger, Haley Crosby, Sophia Hedger, Eli Hedger and Larry Crosby III. Pallbearers will be David Hedger, Chad Hedger, Brent Hedger, Daniel Hedger, Nathan Hedger and Noah Hedger.
