Cushing - Funeral Services for John Edward Elsberry, 88, of Cushing, Texas will be Monday August 1st at 3pm at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will precede the services from 1-3pm also at the funeral home. Mr. Elsberry was born July 8th, 1928 in Cross Cut, Texas to John Lafayette "Fred" and Evie Calley Elsberry Massingill. He died Saturday in Nacogdoches. He was a resident of Cushing since 1968, worked for Powell Electrical MFG Company, and owned Elsberry Texaco. He was also a farmer for 40 years. He is preceded in death by his Parents, wife Vonnie Elsberry, and Sister Juanita Elsberry Kerr. He is survived by Sons and Daughters-in-law: Buz Elsberry (Sandra) of Cushing, Texas, West Elsbery (Angela) of Central Heights, Texas; Daughter and Son-in-law: Denise Wallace (Tinker) of Central Heights, Texas; Brother: Bill Elsberry of Katy, Texas; Grandchildren: Duane White, Wensdi Eggebrecht (Brian), Karri Weiser, Dude Elsberry (Stephani), Chris Elsberry.
