Jimmy Reed, 76, of Douglass, TX, passed away on January 17, 2023, in Nacogdoches, TX.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, January 20, 2023, at Dickey Allen Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Dickey Allen Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Mack Jones officiating. Burial will follow at McKnight Cemetery.

Jimmy was born in Cushing, Texas to Troy James Reed and Gladys Bass Reed on September 18, 1946. He went to school in Cushing, Texas. He married Robin Brittain Reed on June 27, 1977, in Jasper, Texas. He owned Poultry Houses and produced hatching eggs for Tyson Poultry until his retirement.

He is preceded in death by his father Troy Reed, mother Gladys Reed, and brother Granvil Reed.

Jimmy is survived by wife Robin Reed, daughter Annette Cruz, son Todd Reed (Sophia), daughter Dayna Ash (Taylor), grandchildren Jeff Pace, Kaylei Sutton, Emma Ash, and Ava Ash, great-grandson Colt Pace, nephews Waymond Reed and Troy Allen Reed.

Pallbearers will be Waymond Reed, Troy Allen Reed, Jeff Pace, Stacy Sutton, Joe Brittain, David Alford, Cristobal Aparicio, and Quito Aparicio. Honorary Pallbearer is Colt Pace.
