Jimmy peacefully left us to be with his Father in heaven at 1:11 AM at home on Sunday, August 2, 2026. In life, Jimmy served his country in the Navy for 6 years during the Vietnam Era. He worked for Texas Power and Light, TxU, and retired from 37 years of service as a Master Electrician for OnCor Electric. His final place of employment was with Power Engineers. Jimmy was a past commander of Palestine VFW Post 3907 and a past commander and life member of Nacogdoches VFW Post 3893. He enjoyed farming, woodworking, fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles. Above all, Jimmy loved taking care of his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Adams of Linwood, Texas, his mother Iva Nell Adams of Linwood, Texas. He is also survived by his brothers, Tommy Adams of Corrigan, Texas, Jerry Adams and wife Jan of Troup, Texas, his sister Glenda Randall and husband Ronnie Dale of Central Heights, Texas. He is also survived by his children, son Jack and his wife Katherine Noble of Alto, Texas, son Anthony Adams of Palestine, Texas, son Nathaniel Cody Noble of Leesville, Louisiana, daughter Misty and husband James McClendon of Palestine, Texas, granddaughter AnnaLisa and husband Thomas McClure of Cushing, Texas, granddaughter Kelsie and husband Daniel Watkins of Palestine, Texas, grandson Austin and wife Alyssa McClendon of Palestine, Texas, great granddaughter Emory Watkins of Palestine, Texas, and Brendan McClure of Cushing, Texas. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and prayers. In leu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Funeral services are August 7, 2026 at 11 AM at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home in Alto, Texas with burial to follow in the Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto. Visitation is Thursday, August 6, from 6-8 PM also at the funeral home in Alto.
