Funeral services for Jessie Curtis Pierce, 85, of Alto will be Sunday, March 19, at 3 PM in the O.T. Allen & Son FH Chapel in Alto with Rev. Rex Hoot officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto. There will be a visitation from 1 -3 PM Sunday before the service. Mr. Pierce died Monday in Lufkin. He was born February 6, 1938 in Leggett, Texas to William Jessie Pierce and Reba McClesky Pierce. Mr. Pierce had lived much of his life in Alto and was a Christian. He had worked as a welder for Arrington Lumber, Westcraft and Oliver Repair Shop. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and watching sports and westerns on TV. Curtis was preceded in death by 3 sons Curtis Wayne Pierce, Danny Keith Pierce and Dennis Clark Pierce, siblings Joe Pierce, Clayton Pierce, Doug Pierce, Thelma Crawford, Reba "Mitty" Jones, Helen McClesky and grandson Derrick Chometa. He is survived by daughter Kim Pierce, grandchildren Crystal Pierce, Anthony "Homer" Pierce, Keaton Goodman, Toni Ford, Jamie Pierce, Jesse Pierce, Jason Pierce, Candice Montgomery, and Chad Allen, niece Marla King, several great grands and 1 great great grandchild.
