Funeral services for Jenelle Sumrall Bush Laughlin, 83, of Reklaw, Texas will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Dickie Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Bennett officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 7, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home; and, from 12:00 - 1:00pm one hour prior to the funeral service. Jenelle Sumrall Bush Laughlin passed away February 4, 2022  at her home in Reklaw with family by her side. Jenelle was born June 5, 1938 in Laurel, Mississippi to John Lloyd Sumral and Lona Olean Ulmer. She was the oldest daughter of nine brothers and four sisters. Jenelle graduated from Sandersville High School in 1957. Jenelle was a mother of eight children and two stepchildren. She loved to talk and work in her garden. Jenelle had a passion for sharing her vegetables from her garden with the community. She had a kind  spirit who never met stranger. Jenelle was on the Reklaw City Council for many years serving as Mayor Pro Tem for the city for a brief term. She was a proud member of the Reklaw Baptist Church. Jenelle was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Jack Bush and Charlie Laughlin, son Steven Bush, and brothers Sambo Sumrall, Earl Sumrall, Joe Sumrall, Vondell Sumrall, Wayne Sumrall, Frankie Sumrall, and sisters Jane Wages, and Martha Gardener. She is survived by her children Sherry Lilly of Reklaw, Jacky Bush of Houston, Tammie Chandler of Laurel, Mississippi, Eric Bush of Pasadena, Penny Haney of Houston, Douglas Bush of Haughton, Lousiana, Stacy Welch of Nacogdoches, stepdaughter Gina Laughlin of Houston, and stepson Kerry Laughlin also of Houston. She is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Bush, Jake Bush, Josh Bush, Jason Bush, Jesse Allen, and Randy Wilson.
