Funeral services will be Friday May 10th, 2024 at 1pm at Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services also at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing.

Jeffrey Anthony Stewart, 53, of Cushing passed away peacefully with his wife by his side after a courageous fight with cancer on Wednesday  May 8th, 2024 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born February 10th, 1971 in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada to Anthony Duncan and Dorothy Viola Fitzsimmons Stewart. Jeffrey lived in Canada for 30 years before moving to Texas. He married Robin on January 12th, 2002 in Cushing. He was a Registered Nurse for 30 years. He also volunteered with the Looneyville/Lilbert VFD for many years. He attended McKnight Congregational Methodist Church. Jeffrey loved watching hockey games and occasionally went sailing and skydiving. He also enjoyed shooting guns at the gun range and spending time with family and friends in both Canada and Texas. His family remembers him as a good chemistry student, young army cadet, and a woodworker.

Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Robin Stewart, son Anthony Stewart, step daughter Danah Arreguin, brother Jason Stewart, and grandchildren Madden Arreguin, Tegan Arreguin, and Holden Arreguin.

The family would like to show their appreciation for Westward Trails Nursing Home, Heart to Heart Hospice, and M.D. Anderson Hospital for taking such good care of him. As well as a special thanks to the McKnight Church family for all the many prayers and support given to him.
