Funeral services for Janice Ann McGarity, 71, of Alto will be Wednesday March 9th at 2pm at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Old Palestine Cemetetery. A visitation will be Tuesday March 8th from 6-8pm also at the funeral home.

Janice Ann McGarity, 71, of Alto died Friday March 4th, 2022 in Tyler, Texas. She was born August 23rd, 1950 in Rusk, Texas to Thomas Henderson and Claire Ola Heath Sides. She lived most of her life in Alto and raised a family. She loved quilting, crochet, embroidery, cooking, and taking care of loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donny L. McGarity, Sr., brother Harold Wayne Sides, sister Betty Sue Flowers, and grandsons Christian Taylor McGarity and Taylor Alexander Thomas McGarity

She is survived by her sons Kevin Scott McGarity, Thomas Wayne Sides, Donny Lynn McGarity, Jr.; and Shannon Ray McGarity and his wife Becky; brother Thomas Dudley Sides; sister Jean Sides; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
