Weches – On Thursday, July 11, 2019, James Royce Pyle, loving husband and father of two children went to be with the Lord at the age of 86. Royce was born November 7, 1932, to Doyle And Fanny Pyle in Weches. He worked at the Southern Pacific Railroad in Houston for 43 years. On May 22, 1952, he married Edna Lucile Mynard and they raised 1 daughter, Debra and 1 son, Kenny. Mr. Pyle was a member of the Weches Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Royce had a passion for gardening and refurbishing furniture and enjoyed his morning cup of coffee and watching the martins. He was known for his kind heart and sweet spirit. Royce was preceded in death by his father, Doyle and his mother Fanny, his brothers Mickey, Bill and Gordon, sister Robbie and his son Kenny. He is survived by his wife Edna, his daughter Debra and son-in-law Rodney, grandchildren Wesley and Lindsey and 3 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Sunday, July 14, 2019, at 2PM, at the Weches Baptist Church at 19583 State Hwy 21 E. Grapeland, Tx. 75844 (Weches Community) with Rev. David Hobson and Rev. Gary Luker officiating. Graveside service will follow at the Weches Cemetery. There will be a viewing and visitation starting at 12 PM at the church Sunday. Memorials would be appreciated, made to the Weches Baptist Church Piano Fund c/o Clayton Baker 15657 FM 227 E. Grapeland, Tx. 75844. Pallbearers are Jim Pyle, Bob Mayton, Rodney Palla, Justin Lovell, Wesley Palla and Norman Bobbitt. O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home will direct services.
