Obituary

Graveside funeral services for James Gulledge, 76, of Forest will be Friday, February 18, at 2 PM in the Thompson Cemetery in Forest with Bro. Mark Norman officiating. Mr. Gulledge passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Humble. He was born September 24, 1945 in Jacksonville, Texas to C.R. "Gabe" Gulledge and Charlotte Legg Gulledge. James had lived most of his life in Wells and Forest and was a member of the Trail To Christ Cowboy Church in Jacksonville. He was retired from  A & NR Railroad and worked for the Two Bit Cattle Company in Forest. James loved horses and team roping and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother and father-in-law H.L. and Vivian Brown. James is survived by wife Barbara Gulledge of Forest, daughters and sons-in-laws Charla and Phillip Jones of Wells, Janna McMillon of Wells and Anna and Chris Tindall of Forest, grandchildren  Holli and Chris Pounds, Salena and Josh Bell, Sami Casel, Christopher McMillon, Bradli and Tee Gehrt and Taylor and Jacob McAnally and great grandchildren J.C., Kade, Hayze, Harleigh, Skyler, James, Leah, Paislee and Logan. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The family will receive visitors at the home of Charla and Phillip Jones in Wells after services.
