Obituary

Cushing - Funeral Services for Jack Simmons, 66, of Nacogdoches will be Wednesday Feb. 17th, at 10am at the Dickie Allen funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Mr. Simmons died Saturday in Nacogdoches. He was born and raised in Nacogdoches, served in the army, and loved to fish. He was a member of the Landmark Church in Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents Jack Hayes and Vester Pauline Pinkston Simmons. He is survived by his Sons Jack "J.C." Clifton Simmons of New Zealand, Paul Simmons of Marshall, Texas; Brothers James Simmons of Nacogdoches, Texas, Charles Simmons of Garland, Texas, Josh Simmons of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and Jeramiah Simmons of Burleson, Texas; Sisters and Brothers-in-law Mary and Shorty Quinn of Nacogdoches, Texas, Frances and Bill Rogers of Linn Flat, Texas, Ruth Rice of Garrison, Texas; Sister in law Karen Simmons of Canton, Texas; Beloved Niece Rebekah Hill, and a Host of Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews. Pallbearers will be David Quinn, Joe Quinn, Daniel Quinn, Kenneth Quinn, Jerry Rice, Jr., and John Rice. There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
