Private memorial services will be held for Hester "Buddy" Helm, 84, of Alto. Mr. Helm passed away November 27, 2020 in Rusk. He was born June 23, 1936 in the Atoy Community near Alto, to Oscar Helm and Bessie Evans Helm and had lived in Alto for 50 years. Buddy was a Christian and had worked many years as a produce farmer, operating Helm Farms. He also serviced, refurbished and sold appliances. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Helm, son Bobby Helm as well as 4 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by daughters Audrey Miller (Jim) of Austin, Jeanie Smiley (Gene) of Alto and Kayla McCune (William) of Alto, sons Joe Helm (Jimmy Woodard) of Alto and Wayne Helm of Katy, 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
