Gina Kay Stanaland, 66, of Garrison, passed away peacefully at home on July 10th, 2023 surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be Thursday July 13th, 2023 at 1pm at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ed Williamson officiating. A visitation time will be held one hour prior to services also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Pirtle Cemetery in Cushing following the funeral services.

Gina was born in Nacogdoches, TX to Baby Ray Franklin Owens and Billie Jean Nichols on September 22, 1956.  She married Gary Dale Stanaland on August 25th, 1978 in Nacogdoches, TX. She went to Cushing High School school in Cushing, TX and Angelina College in Lufkin, TX and worked as a nurse as well as on the family farm for many years.  Gina was a dedicated wife and mother and a hard worker.  She had a kind heart, generous spirit, and wonderful sense of humor and she loved nothing more than spending time with her family and taking care of her animals.

Gina is preceded in death by her mother and father.

Gina is survived by her husband, Gary Dale Stanaland, son Jason Stanaland and wife Adriene Stanaland, and daughter Jennifer Stanaland.  She is also survived by siblings Tricia Smith, Sherry Lloyd, Teresa "T-Tall" Arnold, and Joe Owens, stepmother Martha Owens, grandchildren Cooper Stanaland and Marilyn Bundrick and great-grandchildren Anderson Bundrick and Beau Bundrick. She is also survived by sister-in-law Robin Hayes as well as her nieces and nephews Ricky Clifton, Heather Malott, Nick Lloyd, Shannon Lloyd, Joseph Owens, Micah Owens, Hannah Wade, Jake Arnold, Kaitlyn Jordan, Randy Birdwell, Riley Birdwell, Kristopher Stanaland, and Kara Frazier as well as dear family friend Mary "Mar-bear" Kimbrough.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Lloyd, Nick Lloyd, Randy Birdwell, Riley Birdwell, Joseph Owens, and Kristopher Stanaland.
