Frankie N. Channel went to her home in heaven on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. She was born on June 25, 1935 – a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her home especially her outstanding cooking, her willingness to be content regardless of her circumstances, and her ability to find joy in the simplest of things. Frankie was a 1954 graduate of Cushing High School. She married the love of her life, Chuck Channel, on June 8, 1957. She worked for Central Heights Independent School District as a teacher aide for over twenty years, and she also kept books for the family business, Chuck's Pest Control. Frankie was a Methodist and found comfort in her faith throughout her life but especially during her illness. She is survived by her loving, devoted sons, James Darrell Channel and Terry Lynn Channel both of Cushing; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Glenda Gresham of Nacogdoches, Texas; sisters, Maxine Baggett of Houston, Texas and Ruth Rowe of Spring, Texas; sister and brother-in-law Doris and Rocky Bartlett of Bovina, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Channel; parents, Curtis and Lois Gresham; in-laws, Lacy and Bessie Channel; brother and sister-in-law Harold and Louise Gresham; brother, Jimmy Gresham; brothers–in –law, J.T. Baggett and Bobbye Rowe; uncles, Hudie Gresham and Doc Gresham, and nephews, Tommy Gresham and Ronnie Gresham. Services will be held on Saturday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Allen Funeral Home in Cushing, officiated by Pastors Ennis Fuller and Mike Williams with burial at Pirtle Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Dicky Gresham, Jody Baggett, William Baggett, Rob Rowe, Jason Gresham, and Dedan Egan. Honorary Pallbearers are Brian Belk, Daric Egan, T.C. Gunter, Dr. Richard Baker, George Self, Robert Sitton, and Mike Nichols.
