Obituary

Frances Bone, a tenaciously independent woman who lived life to its fullest and cherished her family above all, passed away in her home on January 16, 2025. Frances Bone was born on October 16th, 1947, in San Augustine Texas.

A graduate of the Linda Houston School of Cosmetology in Houston, Texas, Frances enjoyed a 50-year career of making people feel beautiful. She was an avid fisherman, her skill proudly displayed in the trophy crappie and bass mounts displayed in her home. Frances loved the outdoors, especially camping and mudding with her family at Shiloh Ridge Mud Park where countless memories were made. Her adventurous spirit and love of dancing were infectious. As a teenager, she enjoyed roller skating on weekends. As a Mawmaw, she loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Her yard was decorated with her collection of metal yard art which wasn't considered complete without a windchime. Frances enjoyed sewing everything from matching shirts, Halloween costumes, One Act Play costumes, and beauty pageant dresses for her family. She used her creative mind and skills to make quilts and crocheted scarves, blankets, baby booties, etc. for her family. Frances was a skilled craftsman, electrician, and plumber, evident in building her own homes, beauty shop, and even a barn.

Frances is proceeded in death by her parents Albert and Gladys Tarver, husband David Bone her youngest son James lee Kelly Sr., and her sister Hazel Ford. Frances is survived by her sister Marie Haag, her brother Buck Tarver, daughter Kassie Hogan and husband Jeff, son Pat Kelly, Step- daughter Tammy Snow, granddaughters Kelly Hogan Weiler and husband Justin, Sam Hogan Bailey and husband Brad, Chasity Kelly and husband Justin, Larissa Kelly and husband Tony. Grandsons Pat Kelly, David Kelly, James Kelly Jr., Andrew Presley, Great grandkids, Trenton Hogan Weiler, Tinley Hogan Weiler, Olivia Stinson, Opie Kelly, Braylynn Kelly, David Hambrick, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate Frances' life will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, January 24, 2025, at Dickie Allen Funeral Home, Cushing, Texas. Visitation at 2:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service. Interment service at Cushing Cemetery where Frances will be laid to rest beside her son James.
