Graveside funeral services for Felton Mumphrey Jr., 60, of Alto will be Tuesday, January 4, at 1 PM at the St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery near Alto with Rev. Lionel Whitaker officiating. Mr. Mumphrey passed away Thursday, December 30, in Alto. He was born March 11, 1961 in Rusk, Texas to Felton Mumphrey Sr and Zeffie Pope Mumphrey.  Felton lived all his life in Alto and was a member of the Weeping Mary Baptist Church. He worked in construction doing concrete work and enjoyed fishing. Felton was preceded in death by his father Felton Sr., wife Blondria Mumphrey-Griffin and brother-in-law Johnny Skinner. He is survived by mother Zeffie Mumphrey of Alto, sisters Joyce Bailey (Robert), Lois McDaniel, Linda Skinner, Ellie Mumphrey and Ginger Skinner (Lewis), brothers Melvin Mumphrey (Maggie) and Michael Ray Mumphrey (Pamela) as well as a special friend Brenda Woodard. Pallbearers are Courtney Mumphrey, Javonttie Mumphrey, Ronterreal Mumphrey, Derek Mumphrey, Ja'Vieontae Mumphrey and Lewis Mumphrey. There will be a viewing/visitation Monday from 1-5 PM at the funeral home.
